OncoStrong

Terms of Use

Last updated: 3 June 2026

Please read these terms carefully. By using OncoStrong, you agree to these terms. OncoStrong is an information and navigation service — it is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

1. About OncoStrong

OncoStrong is a clinical trial navigation and information service that helps people affected by cancer find relevant clinical trials, access genetic testing, and connect with specialist oncologists. OncoStrong is not a healthcare provider, medical device, or regulated clinical service.

2. Not medical advice

Nothing on OncoStrong constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information provided — including trial matches, eligibility summaries, and service descriptions — is for informational purposes only.

You must not rely on OncoStrong as a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult your oncologist, doctor, or qualified healthcare professional before making any decisions about treatment, trial participation, or other clinical matters.

Use of OncoStrong does not create a clinician–patient, doctor–patient, or other fiduciary medical relationship with OncoStrong, its operators, or any third party listed on the platform.

3. Trial eligibility

OncoStrong uses the information you provide to identify trials that may be relevant to your situation. A trial appearing in your results does not mean you are eligible to participate.

Eligibility for any clinical trial can only be confirmed by the trial team following a formal screening process. OncoStrong makes no representation or warranty about whether you will qualify for any trial.

4. Trial, testing, and specialist enquiries

When you submit an enquiry through OncoStrong, your message is delivered to the relevant trial coordinator, testing partner, or specialist oncologist as described in our Privacy Policy. Your email address is set as the reply address so that the recipient can respond directly to you.

Delivery. Where a coordinator email address is available, your enquiry is sent immediately. Where one is not immediately available, OncoStrong will endeavour to locate the appropriate contact and deliver your message, targeting delivery within two hours of submission. This is a service target and not a contractual guarantee. In cases where no contact can be located, or where we establish that the trial is no longer actively recruiting at the relevant site, we will notify you promptly and update the trial listing accordingly.

Copying OncoStrong. You may optionally elect to copy OncoStrong on your enquiry. If you do, a member of our team may follow up with the trial team on your behalf and assist you with any questions about next steps. This is an optional service and carries no obligation on either side.

Follow-up. If you have not received a response after a reasonable period, you may request that OncoStrong re-send your original message to another contact at the trial, or submit a new message. OncoStrong does not guarantee that any follow-up will result in a response from the trial team.

Message storage. The content of your enquiry message is encrypted and stored only for the retention period you elect at submission. No OncoStrong staff member can read your stored message content. A copy is sent to your email address at the time of submission for your own records.

Submitting an enquiry does not constitute enrollment in a trial or a contractual relationship with any third party. OncoStrong is not responsible for the conduct, decisions, response times, or outcomes of any trial team, testing partner, or specialist you connect with through the platform.

5. Free service for patients

OncoStrong is free to use for patients and those enquiring on behalf of patients. We receive platform sponsorships from clinical research organizations, testing partners, and specialist oncologist networks. Sponsors have no influence over trial matching results, which are determined solely by clinical relevance to your profile.

6. Accuracy of information

Trial information on OncoStrong is sourced from publicly available registries including ClinicalTrials.gov and ISRCTN. We endeavor to keep information current, but trial availability, status, and eligibility criteria can change. Always verify current trial status directly with the trial team.

The OncoStrong clinician directory includes practitioners who have opted to list with us. It does not represent all investigators active in clinical oncology, and a clinician's presence or absence from this directory carries no clinical significance.

7. AI-assisted content

Some content presented on OncoStrong — including trial summaries, relevance explanations, patient-facing descriptions, informational materials, and aspects of trial selection or ranking — may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence systems using publicly available clinical trial data and other information sources.

AI-assisted content is reviewed using a combination of automated and human processes. Such content is provided for informational purposes only and must not be relied upon as medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or confirmation of clinical trial eligibility.

Use of OncoStrong does not create a clinician–patient or doctor–patient relationship.

8. Your responsibilities

When using OncoStrong, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information to the best of your ability.
  • Use the service only for lawful purposes.
  • Not attempt to misuse, reverse engineer, or disrupt the platform.
  • Not use the platform to submit false or misleading enquiries, or enquiries unrelated to the trial or service being contacted.
  • Not submit enquiries on behalf of another person without their knowledge and consent.

9. Account security

If you create an account on OncoStrong, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account or any suspected security breach by contacting support@oncostrong.com.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The platform and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

OncoStrong does not warrant that the platform will be available at all times or free from errors. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any clinical trial listing, match result, or other content. We make no warranty that any trial listed on the platform is suitable for, or accessible to, any particular individual.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OncoStrong and its operators accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, reliance on information provided, or the actions or omissions of any third party you connect with through the platform.

12. Intellectual property

All content on the OncoStrong platform, including the matching methodology, patient-facing descriptions, prompts, and platform design, is the intellectual property of OncoStrong. Trial data sourced from public registries remains subject to the terms of those registries.

13. Platform availability and modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or remove platform features, trial listings, or content at any time without prior notice. This includes the right to change, discontinue, or restrict access to any part of the service.

OncoStrong does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform and accepts no liability for any interruption, delay, or unavailability of the service.

14. Force majeure and internet limitations

1. Excused performance. Neither OncoStrong nor its operators shall be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, unavailability of the platform, or delay in fulfilling any obligation under these Terms when such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

2. Covered events. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Acts of God, natural disasters (earthquakes, fires, floods, or storms), epidemics, or pandemics.
  • Acts of war, terrorism, riots, civil unrest, or labor strikes.
  • Sudden regulatory changes, government orders, or trade restrictions affecting technology operations.
  • Widespread disruptions, errors, or failures of telecommunications networks, digital transmission links, or the global internet infrastructure.
  • Major downtime or service interruptions affecting upstream cloud hosting providers, third-party data registries, or data center facilities; or cyber incidents such as large-scale denial-of-service attacks or malicious system intrusions, despite our industry-standard security safeguards.

3. No liability for downtime. You acknowledge that the internet consists of interconnected networks subject to unpredictable errors and external failures. OncoStrong makes no uptime guarantees and will not be liable for any data loss, lack of access, or damages resulting from platform interruptions caused by such events.

15. Dispute resolution — US users

This section applies to users located in the United States only. It does not apply to users in the United Kingdom or European Union, whose rights under applicable consumer protection law are unaffected by this section.

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court and to have a jury hear your claims.

1. Informal resolution required. Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you and OncoStrong agree to try to resolve the dispute informally. You must send a written notice describing the nature and basis of your claim and the relief sought to legal@oncostrong.com. We will attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation for thirty (30) days from receipt of that notice. If not resolved within that period, either party may initiate binding arbitration.

2. Binding arbitration. If informal resolution is not reached, you and OncoStrong agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or your use of the platform shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration, rather than in court. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section. Arbitration will be conducted in English by a single neutral arbitrator.

3. Class action waiver. You and OncoStrong agree that each party may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding unless both parties agree otherwise in writing.

4. Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court, provided it proceeds only on an individual basis, or seek injunctive or equitable relief in court to prevent infringement of intellectual property rights.

5. Right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to legal@oncostrong.com within thirty (30) days of your first use of the platform. Your notice must include your name, the email address associated with your use, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of Delaware.

6. Severability. If any part of this section is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Any claims that cannot proceed through arbitration will be litigated exclusively in the courts of Delaware.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which OncoStrong is incorporated. Where permitted, disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
